Later this month, Edinburgh-based Conscious Route and producer True Note will release their excellent new album Lost Routes, showcasing a range of genres and sounds, from hip-hop and grime to electronica and rock, with lyrics covering mental health and personal struggles as well as social and political commentary.

It’s an incredibly accomplished album, comprising 20 tracks and six short, interview-style skits. Channel 4 has already featured music from the album on its mini documentary series, Take Your Knee Off My Neck, in response to the killing of George Floyd. We predict a lot more media attention over the coming weeks and months.
