The big transfer of the week in Scottish football has been the addition of Charlie Adam by Championship side Dundee. The former Rangers, Liverpool and Blackpool star returns to Scottish football after over ten years and 300 games in England.
It suggests that the Championship may be the interesting place to view from a transfer perspective in the coming weeks with clubs still preparing their squads for the upcoming campaign. Hearts are hopeful of adding Mihai Popescu, the former St Mirren defender is close to a deal. Of course, there will still likely be plenty of speculation in the top-flight.

Dundee have been linked with a shock move for ex-Dundee United star Nadir Ciftci.
According to the Courier, James McPake has made the striker a key priority to boost his attacking options.

Amiens soften on Rangers target price
Rangers won’t have to pay the £4m fee for Bongani Zungu… if they return.
According to the Daily Record, Amiens are willing to drop their asking price for the midfielder as they look to raise funds.
Celtic could move for target in January
Celtic could make a move for defensive target Ben Davies in January.
The Scottish Sun report the 25-year-old would likely agree a deal with the Scottish champions.
Davies has been linked with a move north this summer from Preston but will likely cost upwards of £5m when his contract ends next summer.

Ex-Rangers ace has tipped his former club to sign QPR ace Bright Osayi-Samuel.
Celtic and Rangers have been linked with amove for the forward on a pre-contract deal.
Hutton told Football Insider: "I do think they need other options, I do think they rely quite heavily on the likes of Hagi and Kent – Kent for me is way out in front, I think we need more from Hagi. I think that’s where they’re looking for a little bit of competition, in those type of areas, and these are players that are definitely going to improve the squad.”
