Rangers' Scott Arfield follows Jonathan David and Alphonso Davies in landing national award
Scott Arfield has been named Canada Soccer’s player of the month for October.
The Rangers midfielder scored against Galatasaray to help Steven Gerrard’s side qualify for the Europa League group stage, and has been a key figure in helping the SPFL Premiership leaders open up a nine-point gap on second-placed Celtic.
Arfield, capped 19 times, turned 32 on Sunday, November 1.
Portland Timbers’ Christine Sinclair picked up the women’s award.
Previous monthly winners included Lille’s £28m man Jonathan David and Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies.
