Back in March David Moyo’s goal gave the Lanarkshire side a surprise 1-0 win over a lacklustre Rangers side, but since then much has happened and much has changed.

As well as the Covid pandemic and resultant lockdown restrictions and the shutdown of football, the restart has seen a complete change in fortunes with Accies struggling and sitting bottom of the SPFL Premiership table, and Rangers unbeaten domestically since that disappointing meeting with Brian Rice’s side.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed Bongani Zungu is “close” to making his debut for the club and is set to feature in the Premiership fixture against Hamilton Accies at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.

Aside from the midfielder - remember all three played the full 90 in Lisbon on Thursday night - potentially coming in Scott Arfield is the only player with an injury concern, and even then the manager said it wasn’t a particularly serious knock

The opponents have injury woes though. Brian Rice has drafted in re-inforcements already this week and revealed Charlie Trafford would follow David Templeton and Lewis SMith on the long-term injury list with an ankle fracture.

He moved into the transfer market though with two signings.

Underway at Ibrox after a minute’s silence

Great save from Ryan Fulton tips over Connor Goldson’s volley to James Tavernier’s corner.

Big ball over the top from Goldson picks out Kent perfectly, but the winger’s shot on the turn sends him off-balance and he tumbles as he shoots whioch is easy for Ryan Fulton to gather.

Great work from Defoe to send Ryan Kent clear. The winger homed in on goal and tapped across the edge of the area into the strie of Scott Arfield and the midfielder stroked Rangers ahead.

Well, no sooner had we upated the headlines and blogs then Rangers are having us redress it all over again.

In quick succession, after Arfield’s opener, Rangers go forward again and a cross from the right an nodded header from Kemar Roofe sends Rangers 2-0 up .
