Rangers 8-0 Hamilton RECAP: Relentless Rangers rack up the goals with Tavernier, Aribo and Roofe doubles plus Arfield and Barker strikes restoring Scottish Premiership lead
Rangers hosted Hamilton in the Scottish Premiership aiming to redress the balance from the last time the Accies paid a visit to Edmiston Drive.
Back in March David Moyo’s goal gave the Lanarkshire side a surprise 1-0 win over a lacklustre Rangers side, but since then much has happened and much has changed.
As well as the Covid pandemic and resultant lockdown restrictions and the shutdown of football, the restart has seen a complete change in fortunes with Accies struggling and sitting bottom of the SPFL Premiership table, and Rangers unbeaten domestically since that disappointing meeting with Brian Rice’s side.
They did that, and then some, with an 8-0 win and goals for Scott Arfield, Brandon Barker and doubles for captain James Tavernier, Kemar Roofe and Joe Aribo.
Here's how it happened...
