It was a night that burst into life with an energetic opening to each half but only in the second did Rangers make their attacks pay with two terrific team moves to create goals for Scott Arfield and James Tavernier.

The captain laid on the first, aided by a cushioned pass by Ianis Hagi into the Canada international’s path, and then started and finished the move for the second – so it’s little wonder he figures highly in the ratings on a night where Rangers collectively pulled through past some big-name players and into the group stage of the Europa League for the third time in as many years.

Player ratings scale - 10: One of best performances you've seen. 9: Outstanding. 8: Very good. 7: Good. 6: Average. 5: Poor, 4: Very poor. 3: Terrible day at office. 2: Abysmal. 1: One of worst performances you've seen.
