'Defoe, Roofe, Itten and Morelos - cracker after cracker after cracker': Rangers fans react to goals in Livingston win
Another game, another great goal for Rangers fans to savour and they took to social media to praise Jermain Defoe’s finish against Livingston.
The striker hit the second in yet another 2-0 victory for the Gers with a cushioned volley in the first half.
@TheGMcConnachie: “Defoe still has it. Might’ve lost a bit of pace but the football brain is as sharp as ever - great run and that first-time finish is sublime.”
Frank Barrett: "Total class and skill not many players could have taken that ball in their stride and finished like that. Great goal.”
David McCallum: “An absolutely ridiculous finish today that only Defoe could pull off. Masterful.”
@JegSmarth: “PHOOOOOOOOOORRRRR is the noise I just made outloud.”
@joesamson87: “The finish from Defoe is better than Roofe’s on Thursday.”
@MattyWoolley_: “Defoe, Roofe, Itten and Morelos must gave some high stakes sweeps on goal of the season this year, absolute cracker after cracker.”
@almcp01: “If @carlsberg did stunning goals they would be camped in with @RangersFC this year.”
The win capped off a great week for Rangers with a 2-0 win over Celtic, the same scoreline to end Standard Liege’s European unbeaten home record and then moving six points clear of second-placed Celtic thi afternoon with the win over Livingston. And after such a big week, Steven Gerrard rang the changes with five new faces in the starting XI – who got praise too.
@ianmac31630530: “The team is looking fantastic. Well done also to the owners and the manager.”
Lorna Sinclair Corsham McEwan: “Well done, so pleased and what a manager, so composed and never has a bad word, love him.”
@EmpireFF: “Well done! An absolutely superb week! Long may it continue.”
@Web0z: “Thought @JamesTavernier had a great game but thought Bassey had another outstanding game and man of the match.
David Smith: “Squad game, that's where we have been lacking before, guys now looking to get a game, Roofe, Cedric, Arfield, Alfie not to mention those not involved.”
@johnmasonrtid: “Imagine how good we’ll be when Roofe, Itten and Aribo are up to speed along with Morelos and Kent hitting top form.”
But amongst the praise, Darran Boyle: “Very disappointed with the fact we didn't push for more goals and we had plenty of time to score more."
