Scotland are on the verge of qualification for the nation’s first major men’s tournament in 22 years and it’s all on the line in Belgrade on Thursday night.
Who will progress to the delayed Euro 2020 Championships next summer, and play some of their group stage games at Hampden, will be decided on the night in what is sure to be 90, or 120, nerve-jangling minutes.
It’s not the first qualification cliffhanger the national side has been involved in, and there’s a varied history when it comes to the matches that matter.
There have been play-off wins, play-off defeats and late drama aplenty be they successful qualification campaigns or otherwise.
There’s even, as recently as last month, been a penalty shoot-out too.
