Rangers and Celtic games, plus Old Firm New Year meeting, to be shown live on Sky Sports

Rangers’ home matches over the festive period will both kick off at 12.30pm to accommodate live TV coverage from Sky.

With fans still facing a lock-out from stadiums under the ongoing coronavirus restrictions, Sky have picked both the Boxing Day encounter with Hibs, and the New Year Old Firm meeting with Celtic, as live features.

That has seen the scheduled time brought forward to lunchtime for each game.

Hibs were the last domestic team to take points from Rangers with a stormy end to the 2-2 draw at Easter Road in September.

Rangers and Celtic will each be shown twice – with Neil Lennon’s side’s trip to Hamilton on December 26 remaining at a 3pm start but also shown as part of a double-bill following the visit of Jack Ross’ side to Ibrox.

The traditional Rangers-Celtic New Year meeting will also mark the 50th anniversary of the Ibrox disaster of 1971.
