Ex-Hibs and Celtic ace Anthony Stokes signs for Livingston
The Irishman takes on the vacant No.9 jersey
Livingston have announced the signing of Anthony Stokes.
The 32-year-old has signed a one-year deal at the Tony Macaroni Arena following his departure from Iranian giants Persepolis.
A Hibs legend following his double salvo in the 2016 Scottish Cup final against Rangers, Stokes hasn’t played since February.
He becomes Livingston’s third signing in the past two days following the arrival of German striker Lars Lokotsch and left-back Julien Serrano.
Stokes takes on the No.9 jersey which was worn by Lyndon Dykes who moved to QPR for a club record sale earlier this week.
The Republic of Ireland international is a proven striker at this level, scoring more than 80 goals in the Scottish top-flight.
In five seasons with Celtic, Stokes won the title four times, plus two Scottish Cups and a League Cup.
