Voting for the 2020 British Travel Awards is now open and gives everyone a chance to support the UK travel industry in these difficult times, while looking forward to a much brighter future.

You could also win a luxury river cruise on the Rhine or Danube for two people that is worth almost £6,000, just by giving your view and entering the prize draw.

Because travel has been so limited for so many this year, due to the pandemic, voters are asked to think back to their last or most recent holiday or travel experience.

If you received exemplary, caring service or advice from a travel company of any kind over the past year, then the awards organisers would like you to share this.

To cast your vote for your favourite holiday providers across a whole range of experiences and services, visit the website at www.britishtravelawards.com and register.

You can then make choices in as many of the categories that are listed there as you wish.

Lorraine Barnes Burton, managing director of The British Travel Awards, said that research has shown there is “renewed consensus for consumers to begin to travel again”.

She said: ‘We have listened and decided to continue with the Awards to reflect the consumers desire to express their appreciation of their favourite travel companies.

"Your opinion counts on what is best about travel and the companies who serve you."

The British Travel Awards continue to provide an online voting platform where the best companies and providers can be recognised by the people who are most qualified to judge – those who use their services.

Instead of the 84 categories that would normally feature in the awards, there will be 51 this year.

They cover every type of travel service from the best known tour operators to small independent camping concerns.

Consumers can vote for companies that gave top notch customer service during these tumultuous times, whatever the situation might have been.

These annual awards are seen as the Oscars of the travel industry, and votes can be contributed via the website from now until November 22 this year.

A virtual awards celebration will take place in December.

The all-inclusive seven night prize draw voyage comes by courtesy of Light Blue Travel, with flights, transfers, wi-fi and excursions included, to make for someone's memorable treat in 2021.

Voters can also bid in an online auction for holidays, to raise funds for NHS Charities Together, the official NHS registered charity.

Register online at britishtravelawards.com and make your vote count as we all look forward to better times in 2021 and beyond.

As a nation of travellers, we love our holidays, trips away and mini-breaks - and the UK’s great number of travel companies are there ready to help you make the most of your leisure time, whenever you are ready to pack your cases and set off for distant - or not so distant- shores.

It’s also a great time to think ahead and plan and look forward to your next break.

When casting your vote in the awards, you can save and return to the form to change or update your choices until the closing date on November 22.

Full terms and conditions are included on the awards website.
