As the world stayed tuned to endless TV and their website graphics inching Joe Biden towards the magical figure of 270 which would secure him the White House, newspaper editors across the world looked nervously at their watches and bit fingernails as deadlines came and went.

And while the course of democracy never ran smooth, the harsh hand of a deadline waits for no journalist.

Finally, when TV networks called Pennsylvania for Democrat candidate Joe Biden on Saturday, the 2020 Presidential election looked to be over.

And while incumbent president Dnald Trump may have something to say about it yet, newspapers across the world were happy to press the button and get their pages moving.
