North Lanarkshire has become the worst hit area again with 285.6 cases per 100,000.
While at the bottom of the scale, and not included on this list, sits the Orkney Islands which recorded nine new cases with a rate of 40.4 per 100,000.

1. North Lanarkshire
Over the seven days North Lanarkshire recorded 285.6 positive cases of coronavirus per 100,000 population. In total, 975 positive cases were recorded in this area.

2. Glasgow City
Over the last week in Glasgow City there were 256.8 positive cases of coronavirus per 100,000 people. In total, 1,626 positive cases were recorded in this area.

3. Renfrewshire
Renfrewshire has reported 240.6 cases per 100,000, with 431 cases recorded in the last seven days.

4. East Ayrshire
237.7 new cases of coronavirus were recorded in East Ayrshire per 100,000 population. This area saw a total of 290 new cases.
