These 11 photos show an eerily empty Glasgow on day one of Level 4 lockdown
At this time of year, Glasgow’s city centre is usually heaving with Christmas shoppers.
But, just hours after it was placed under Scotland's toughest Covid restrictions, the city's main shopping streets were unusually quiet.
Level four rules for 11 council areas came into force at 6pm on Friday, when travel curbs in level three and four areas became law.
Non-essential shops, hospitality, hairdressers and gyms will remain closed until 11 December.
Less than five weeks before Christmas, Glasgow's main shopping streets were almost deserted as a result.
