Coronavirus in Scotland: 697 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours
Scotland has seen a rise of 697 cases in 24 hours, according to the latest Scottish Government statistics.
Of these, 242 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 145 in the Lothians and 130 in Lanarkshire.
The remaining 180 have been reported by nine other heath boards across the country.
So far, 218 people are in hospital, which is eight more than yesterday, and 22 people are being treated in intensive care with the virus.
No new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, but, due to registry offices being closed on a Sunday, this is to be expected.
This means the country’s death toll still stands at 2, 530.
