Google, Gmail and Youtube return to full usage after blackout
Google services have returned to full usage after they went down across the globe.
A collection of apps run by the internet service giant crashed on Monday morning at about 11am GMT including Gmail, Google Maps, Youtube and Google Docs.
Social media users from countries across the globe including India, the UK and parts of the USA reported the issues on Twitter.
The source of the problem remains unclear.
A service tracker website called Downdetector published a graph showing a spike in complaints made about Google services not working from about 11am.
Services appeared to be restored to full usage at about 12.40pm.
Problems were reported mainly in Europe but also in Australia, the east coast of the USA and parts of Africa, South America and Asia.
More as we have it.
