With the initial 2020 lockdown putting an end to filming in person, Milne, 26, pivoted her business model and secured editing work from further afield.

Xana won a contract to edit the live streams of a key New Zealand agriculture programme. Released as both a podcast and a video, the former currently receives more than 3,000 downloads per week.

Milne said: “2020 has been a pivotal year for Xana Creative. I’ve learned so much in terms of hosting events online and creating and developing live streams, which has been a crucial part of some businesses survival this year.

“Working with international clients has been a huge and very exciting learning curve for me. Shifting our focus to post-production work has opened up a new global market and I’m looking forward to seeing where 2021 takes us in terms of international clients.”

She added: “We’ve even dipped our toe in the wedding video market. With smaller weddings becoming the norm for the foreseeable future, it is even more important that those who can’t attend have the opportunity to experience the day. This is very much a new revenue stream for us.”
